Yerkin Tatishev was named Ernst&Young's Entrepreneur of the Year in Kazakhstan

Yerkin Tatishev, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Kusto Group, emerged victorious at the regional stage of the 2021 Entrepreneur of the Year competition held in Kazakhstan.

In total, 21 Kazakhstani entrepreneurs reached the finals. The competition's independent jury comprised Agris Preimanis (EBRR), Nurlan Smagulov (Astana Group), Raimbek Batalov (Raimbek-Group), Umut Shayakhmetova (Halyk Bank), among other esteemed members of the business community. A few months later, in June 2022, Yerkin Tatishev will proceed to the final stage in Monte Carlo, where he will be representing Kazakhstani business in the competition's international finals.

The international entrepreneur competition is hosted by the British consulting firm EY (Ernst&Young), one of the world's largest auditors that also offers consulting services. For over 35 years, the competition has been conducted in 60 countries, identifying the best entrepreneurs among the global business community. This year, Ernst&Young has turned its focus towards companies that have continued to actively expand their businesses amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

During these challenging times, Kusto Group not only maintained operations across its divisions but also established the Kusto Help Foundation to aid healthcare workers and vulnerable sections of the population. The company's employees delivered humanitarian aid, including medicines, food and essential items, worth KZT 1.1 bn to recipients, providing support to those impacted by the epidemic and the subsequent economic shock.
